Timber Creek survives Winter Park 4-2 thanks to Kyle Muth's late-game heroics
Kyle Muth brought home the go-ahead run to give Timber Creek Wolves Varsity the lead in the sixth inning, as Timber Creek Wolves hung on to beat Winter Park Wildcats 4-2 on Tuesday.
Connor Celentano walked to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Rey Gonzalez.
Tyler Konzen got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Konzen struck out five, walked two and gave up seven hits. He also contributed a RBI single.
The top of the first saw Winter Park take an early lead, 2-0. J.P. Colton started the rally for Winter Park with a single. A groundout by Freddy Torres then moved Colton from first to second. Jack Shenton doubled, scoring Colton and Hunter Lee.
Brandon Denson had two hits, a run and a RBI for the Wolves in the victory. Eugene Vazquez went 1-2 with a run scored.
