MAX SAPP
Bishop Moore, Sr. Catcher
The buzz: Sapp helped lead the Hornets to a 29-2 record by batting .591 with nine home runs, 48 RBIs and a .775 on-base percentage. He was selected Florida's Mr. Baseball, which is awarded annually to best player in the state as voted on by coaches and media representatives.

First Team
JACOB BRIGHAM
Central Florida Christian, Sr. Pitcher
The buzz: A UCF signee, Brigham was 10-3 with a 0.75 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 75 innings pitched and helped lead Eagles to 1A final four.

JOHN GAST
Lake Brantley, Jr. Pitcher
The buzz: Gast was 8-2 with a 1.14 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 57.2 innings for the Patriots, who finished 22-6.

JOHNNY WIEDENBAUER
Seabreeze, Sr. Pitcher
The buzz: The ace of the Sandcrabs, Wiedenbauer struck out 93 batters in 69 innings and went 10-1 with an 0.61 ERA.

BRAXTON CHISHOLM
St. Cloud, Sr. Catcher
The buzz: One of St. Cloud's all-time best hitters, Chisholm finished his final season with a .468 average, five home runs and 24 RBIs.

CHRIS DUFFY
Cypress Creek, Sr. Infield
The buzz: Duffy, a UCF signee, played third base and batted .484 with nine home runs and 36 RBIs.

STEPHEN KING
Winter Park, Sr. Infield
The buzz: An LSU signee, King was as good with the glove as he was with the bat. He batted .355, with five home runs and 23 steals.

WILLIAM GORDON
Timber Creek, Sr. Infield
The buzz: Gordon, a Penn signee, hit .473, drove in 32 runs and scored 29 runs for the Wolves, who reached the 6A region quarterfinals.

MARCUS LEMON
Eustis, Sr. Infield
The buzz: Lemon, who committed to Texas, batted .451 with six home runs and 24 RBIs and also had 23 steals.

ERIC NIEVES
Bishop Moore, Sr. Outfield
The buzz: Nieves played center field for Hornets and batted .380 with six home runs, 28 RBIs and 25 runs scored.

JONATHAN PIGOTT
Seabreeze, Sr. Outfield
The buzz: Pigott, a Florida signee, scored 35 runs, had 16 stolen bases and hit .427.

MICHAEL PRICE
Timber Creek, Jr. Outfield
The buzz: Price, an All-Metro first-team outfielder stole 28 bases, scored 31 runs and batted .494.

MICHAEL MAIN
DeLand, Jr. Utility
The buzz: Main batted .402 with 20 RBIs and 26 steals and then helped the Bulldogs to the 6A state semifinal with his pitching (3-1, 1.44 ERA in 311/3 innings).

ERIC BROBERG
Bishop Moore, Sr. Utility
The buzz: Broberg added power in the middle of the Hornets' lineup (.336, seven home runs, 32 RBIs) and on the pitchers mound (6-0, 2.85 ERA, 46 strikeouts).
